Myrtle E. Hooker, 91 of Spalding, NE passed away Friday, November 30, 2012 at the Boone County Health Center in Albion, NE.

Myrtle was born February 17, 1921 to Thomas "T J" and Lillie (Topping) McBride near Primrose, NE.

Myrtle received her education at the Red School.

On November 20, 1948 Myrtle married Edward "Ned" Hooker in Bellevue, Nebraska.

They farmed near Spalding where she worked as a homemaker, mother of three, and helped with the farming.

Myrtle enjoyed gardening.

They retired from the farm in 1978. Ned passed away in 1998.

Myrtle entered the Wolf Memorial Good Samaritan Home in 2011.

She was the last member of the T.J. McBride family.

Surviving Myrtle are her: children: Nikie Herrera & husband Dave of Omaha; Ted Hooker & wife Joan of Spalding; Larry Hooker of Lincoln; five grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren: Michelle Herrera, Ashlyn Gertie & Gavin Godbout; Brian & Kristin Herrera; Ella & Cassius, Randy & Krista Hooker, and Khloe; Mark & Amy Hooker, Tristin Reagan and Preston; Lori and Randy Carraher; Caidyn Landyn and Khyler.

Myrtle was preceded in death by: parents, husband Ned in 1998; sisters Pat and Marie, brothers Bill and Bob, and a great granddaughter Shaylee Rose.
