James was the son of
Robert Bartlett & Sarah Cooke.
James' descent to Richard Warren:
(Robert, Joseph, Mary Warren, Richard).

From the Mayflower Descendant
Volume XXI - 1919 - Page 131
Editor George Ernest Bowman:
James Bartlett of Plymouth born there
Aug. 7, 1701, and died Jan. 13, 1722/3.
The settlement of his estate proves
that he left neither wife nor children,
and he probably did not marry. In the
final settlement of his estate, his
mother Sarah Cooke (Jacob, Frances), was
mentioned; also his six brothers, Thomas
John, Joseph, Ebenezer, Robert, and Lemuel;
and his three sisters, Hannah Churchill
wife of Eleazer Churchill, Sarah Finney
wife of John Finney, and Elizabeth Bartlett.

Note:
When Burial Hill was mapped in the 1990's
the gravestone for James was not found.
The transcription is in Bradford Kingman's
book "Epitaphs from Burial Hill."
