.Mrs. Emma Baldwin Passed Away in Burlington Hospital Last Night as 6:30 O'clock.
Mrs. Emma Baldwin of near Oquawka, Ill., passed away last evening at 6:30 o'clock in the Burlington hospital after a lingering illness of two years. Her condition became serious about three weeks ago and last Tuesday she was brought to Burlington for treatment.
.She was born in Oquawka December 14, 1874, and was 49 years old at the time of death. Her maiden name was Miss Emma Bailey and she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William S. Bailey. She was united in marriage to Mr. Baldwin on February 28, 1902, and they resided on a farm near Oquawka.
.Mrs. Baldwin is survived by her husband, two daughters, Mrs, Opal Galbraith and Miss Mary Baldwin, at home; two sisters, Mrs. Elick Thomas and Mrs. Harvey McFarland of Oquawka, three brothers, Walter Bailey of Glansing Ia., Chas. Bailey of Gladstone, Ill., and John Bailey of Oquawka. She also leaves her father, William Bailey.
.The remains were taken to Oquawka this morning and the funeral services will he held from the Baptist church in that town Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. Friends are invited to attend. Interment will he in the cemetery at Oquawka.
