MILLEN, Ga. - Martha Jewel Rushton Adams, 70, died Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at University Hospital in Augusta. She was born in Charleston, SC, a retired secretary for the Screven County Health Department, member of the Edith Cavell Chapter 193 Order of the Eastern Star, and the West Millen Baptist Church. Funeral services will be Thursday at 11:00 a. m. at the West Millen Baptist Church with Dr. Ray Freeman, Rev. Butch Taylor, and Rev. Andy Allen officiating. Burial to follow in the Millen Cemetery. Survivors include her husband, Jimmy L. Adams; daughter, Julie A. Frank Joiner of Millen; brother, James Albert Jackson of Grovetown; and a granddaughter, Jamie Leigh Joiner of Millen. Pallbearers: Jeff Adams, J. C. Christy, Bobby Jenkins, Ray Garvin, Larry Evans, Tommy Stephens, Michael Hendrix and Jerry Lee Becton. Crowe-Fields Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
