James C. Martin, Sr. on Tuesday, August 1, 2006. Age 81 years. Beloved husband of the late Anita Dozie Martin. Father of James C. Martin, Jr. of Sugar Land, TX and Barbara Martin Schmidt of Lafayette, LA. Son of the late C.D. Martin and Ruth Gandy Martin. Brother of the late Don Martin and Carolyn Maurine Martin. Also survived by 6 grandchildren.
Mr. Martin was a full time volunteer at the Audubon Zoo for 10 years.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Visitation at LAKE LAWN METAIRIE FUNERAL HOME, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., (in Metairie Cemetery), on Thursday, August 3, 2006 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. followed by a Graveside service in Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum.
