Kenneth David Linton, 65 of Van Wert, died at 6:15 a.m., Wednesday November 28, 2012 at the Community Health Professionals Inpatient Hospice Center in Van Wert, Ohio.

He was born on April 5, 1947 in Van Wert to Lewis M. & Elizabeth "Betty" (Lauck) Linton of rural Van Wert. On June 26, 1971, he married Judy (Christian) Linton, who survives at the residence.

Kenneth was a journeyman tool and die maker and owned & operated Toolco, Inc. He also had worked at Aeroquip Corp. (Eaton) and Dana Corp. in Lima. He was a member of Kingsley United Methodist Church; 1965 graduate of Lincolnview High School; and Viet Nam era veteran of the U.S. Army.

Survivors include his wife Judy; son and daughter-in-law, Matthew (Tara) Linton of Van Wert; daughter, Jennifer Linton at home; sister, Rosemary (Larry) Ingle-Murphy of North Carolina; and granddaughter, Cheyenne Linton.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Vicki Linton.

Visitation is scheduled for Friday 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at Cowan & Son Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, December 1, 4:00 p.m. at Kingsley United Methodist Church, officiated by Pastor Anthony Perry. Interment is at Ridge Cemetery in Ridge Township, with military rites by the combined honor guard of the American Legion and V.F.W. Posts of Van Wert.
