L V "Neal" Stafford 74 was a well known Buffalo Wyoming Oil field well service contractor when he served 18 years in the Wyoming Legislature. He was President of the Wyoming Senate in 1979 and 1980.
A republican, Stafford was Senate Majority Leader during the 1975 and 1976 sessions when the Senate was tied with 15 Republicans and 15 democrats.
During his legaslative career, Stafford, a former member of the Johnson County High School board, was interested in educational issues.
Stafford was active in community organizations in Buffalo and Johnson County.
After Stafford retired from his business in Buffalo, he moved to Nogales Arizona where he still lived at the time of his death.
