Earl W. Hines died Friday, November 12, 1986, at his home on South Point Higgins Road. Hines, 76, was born Oct. 5, 1912, in Colorado. He is survived by his wife, Aileen A. Hines; sons, Roy Hines, of Ketchikan, and William Hines, Juneau; daughter, Kay Andrews, Ketchikan; sister, Jessie Yates, of Sedro-Wooley, Wash.; and nine grandchildren. He was a civilian employee, a carpenter for the U.S. Coast Guard in Ketchikan. Hines requested that there be no funeral service, but the family had a reception Tuesday at his home.
