Mrs. Cora Chittum McManama 95, of Buena Vista died last Tuesday, Nov. 23, 1975, in Stonewall Jackson Hospital. She was the wife of the late John E. McManama.
A native of Rockbridge County, Mrs. McManama was born Jan. 9, 1880, the daughter of the late Andrew Jackson Chittum and Sarah Hostetter Chittum.
Mrs. McManama was a member of the Buena Vista Pentecostal Holiness Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Luther Wilhelm, of Waynesboro and Mrs. Margaret Southers of Buena Vista; a son, Alfred W. McManama of Lexington, a sister, Mrs. Anna Hostetter of Buena Vista; three brothers, George Chittum, Edward Chittum and Sylvester Chittum, all of Buena Vista; 24 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.
The Rev. David Bane and the Rev. Lacy King conducted a funeral service Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Buena Vista Pentecostal Holiness Church. Burial was in Green Hill Cemetery
