Mr. James Wyatt, Jr., 75, 403 Piney Flats, died Thursday, July 9, 2009 in the Johnson City Medical Center. Mr. Wyatt was a lifelong resident of Piney Flats. He was the son of the late James Wyatt, Sr. and Gladys Penix Wyatt. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by one brother, Harold Wyatt; two sisters, Dorothy Wyatt and Sue Kent. Mr. Wyatt retired from Wolf Brothers Furniture after Forty-three years of service. Survivors include: his wife of fifty-five years Nadean Wyatt of the home; three sons, Danny Steve Wyatt and his wife Janice of Telford, James David Wyatt and his wife Kim of Piney Flats and Jerry Dale Wyatt and his wife Dr. Linda Wyatt of Jonesborough; three daughters, Linda K. Hicks and her husband Leonard of Piney Flats, Janet Faye Ferguson and her husband Carl of Piney Flats and Brenda G. Patton of Piney Flats; one brother, Donald Wyatt of Piney Flats; two sisters, Marie Clay and Patricia Wyatt both of Piney Flats; five grandchildren; five great grandchildren; seven step grandchildren; seven great great grandchildren. The funeral service for Mr. Wyatt will be conducted at 8 PM Monday July 13, 2009 in the Morris-Baker South Chapel. Pastor Jerry Powers will officiate. The graveside committal service will be conducted at 2 PM Tuesday in the Shell Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Minister, family and friends are requested to meet at the funeral home by 1:30 PM Tuesday to go in procession to the cemetery. The family will receive friends in the funeral chapel from 6 to 8 PM Monday prior to the service.
