Funeral servces for Mrs Katy M
Wood a former resident of Ormsby
and mother of Harry B Wood
of Randolph N. Y., former North
Bennett S; resident who died Saturday
(July 3 1948), will be held
today
A prayer servce will be conducted
at 2 p. m. at the Hollenbeck Chapel
with the Rev Ira E Weyhe, pastor
of the Babtist Church of Randolph
officiating. The Phoneix Chapter of
the Eastern Star also will officiate
at committal services.
Burial will be in the family plot in
the Oak Hill Cemetery.
Mrs Wood was at the Beacon
Manor Nursing Home in Randolph
where she had been a patient for
some time. She had been serously
ill for the past year.
For 47 years Mrs. Wood made her
come in Ormsby. Two years ago she
moved to Randolph to reside with
her son Harry She was born on
Jan. 13, 1870 at Franklin Pa, the
daughter of B. W. and Mary Elizabeth
James. On Sept. 6 1901 she
was united in marriage to Benjamin
J Wood in Olean. Mr Wood died
in 1934
She was a member of the Phoenix
Chapter No. 5 Eastern Star, of
Smethport and the First Babtist
Church of that place.
Survivors besides her son Harry
B Wood are a sister-in-law, Mrs
Mary Wood, three grandchildren
Richard, David and Janice Wood
all of Randolph two brothers, Al-
bert James Ferndale Wash., and
Wilbur James, Kane, three sisters,
Mrs C ara Henderson, Mrs Fannie
W'-gnt, both of Wayne, O. and
Mrs. Marrie Barnard Ferndale.
