Albert G. Dagenhart, 64, of Ft. Lupton, passed away October 5, 2012 at his home. He was born May 27, 1948 in Platteville, CO to John and Mollie (Smith) Dagenhart. He graduated from Ft. Lupton High School in 1966 and later joined the US Army. Albert served his country during the Vietnam Era, earning multiple medals.

He worked for Safeway in Brighton and Greeley as a Produce Manager and also as a Night Crew Manager. After his retirement from Safeway, he worked as a custodian at Weld Central High School for four years and then as the Head Custodian at Ft. Lupton Middle School for seven years.

Albert loved fishing, playing softball, where he played for the Brighton Rams, and he enjoyed watching his great-nephews bull riding. He was a collector of Indian artifacts and made many of them as well. Albert could design and make anything! He loved spending time with this family and friends and in 46 years he never missed a class reunion.

Albert is survived by his mother, Mollie Dagenhart of Ft. Lupton; children, Michelle (Eric Rossi) Lobato of Thornton, Jennifer (Brad) Solorio of Denver, Donovan Dagenhart of Hudson and Brittany Dagenhart of Ft. Lupton; brother, John Dagenhart of Lakewood, CA; sisters, Mille (Tom) Callaway of Ft. Lupton and Kathy Dagenhart of Brighton and five grandchildren. Other survivors include numerous nieces and nephews.

A Rosary Service will be held Thursday, October 11, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. followed by the Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, October 12, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. All services will be held at St. Williams Catholic Church in Ft. Lupton. Interment at Mizpah Cemetery in Platteville.
