Julian McGee Evans, 85, of Kansas City, Clay County, died Dec. 4, 1992, at the home. Mr. Evans was born in rural Clay County and was a lifelong area resident. He worked for Farmland Industries Inc. for 35 years, retiring as a senior service analyst.

He was a North Kansas City reserve police officer from the mid-1940s to the 1970s. He was scoutmaster of Boy Scout Troop 9 at the North Kansas City United Methodist Church for 35 years. He was a member of the Tribe of Mic-O-Say and received the Medicine Man and Silver Beaver awards. A son, J. McGee Evans, died May 16, 1992.

Survivors include his wife, Louise S. Evans of the home; two daughters, Marilou Edwards, Lexington, Mo., and Judith Ann Fernandez, Kansas City; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
