Shirley May Loeffler, 81, of Eaton, CO died Wednesday, October 1, 2009 at Life Care Center in Greeley.

She was born April 9, 1928 in Erie, CO to Paul and Bertha (Beasley) Gorce. She lived in Erie until she was in junior high. Her family then moved to Greeley where she graduated from Greeley High School in 1947. On December 12, 1954 she married T.A. Loeffler at St. Johns Church in Windsor.

Mrs. Loeffler was a homemaker who was very skilled in arts and crafts as well as being a master seamstress. She enjoyed crocheting, embroidery, cake decorating, stained glass, making Christmas ornaments, gardening and canning. She taught water aerobics and was a Girl Scout leader. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Eaton where she taught Sunday school and Vacation Bible School and was a member of the Altar Guild. She enjoyed spending her summers at a lodge in Estes Park, CO.

She is survived by 3 daughters; a son; 5 grandchildren; a sister and a brother. She was preceded in death by her husband, and parents.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 6, 2009 at Faith Lutheran Church, 36980 WCR 37, Eaton.
