Suggested edit: The Smithville Herald, Smithville, Mo. 3-25-1904:
MARRIED. At Hotel Savoy in Kansas City, on Sunday, March 20, 1904 at 12 o'clock noon, Mrs. Linnie LaForce of this city and Mr. Ele [sic] Hufford of Platte county were married by Elder F. V. Foos of Liberty, Dr. and Mrs. C. H. Suddarth being the only Smithville witnesses present.
This happy wedding was a surprise to most of their friends here. The bride, Mrs. LaForce, is well and favorably known to everyone near here, as she has been head lady clerk at Shafer's popular store for some years, where she always been a favorite with its many customers. The groom, Mr. Hufford, is a well-to-do Platte county farmer, and has long been a favorite with both old and young. Ele is to be congratulated on his choice of a life parttner. They will decide in a few days as to their future residence.
