Evelyn Townsend Hunsuckle, 84, of Palatka, died Sunday, June 25, 2000 at Putnam Community Medical Center.
A native of Wauchula, Florida, she had resided in Palatka since 1937. She was a homemaker and a member of St. James United Methodist Church where she had been active in the Elizabeth Circle.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Cheshire.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Sid Ross Hunsuckle of Palatka; a son, Chip Hunsuckle of St. Augustine; two daughters, Karen Davis of Palatka and Roslyn Davidson of Sumterville; a brother, Joe Townsend of Shreveport, Louisiana; a sister. Mary Stallings of Frost Proof; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 28, 2000 at St. James United Methodist Church with Rev. Hardy B. Sandlin III and Rev. Herb Schimpf officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Hill East Cemetery. (Palatka Daily News Obituary dtd 27 Jun 2000.)
