L.A. Linsteadt passed away Sunday, Nov. 25, 2012. Funeral: 10 a.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church of Hurst, 521 W. Pipeline Road, Hurst. Interment: Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Lucas Funeral Home, 1321 Precinct Line Road, Hurst. He was born in Denison on Sept. 8, 1937. He married his high school sweetheart, Roni Pittman, in 1955. L.A. coached Pee Wee Football for many years in Hurst and Keller, where he influenced many athletes through his love of sports. He was president of the Hurst Jaycees and was very active in civic and school affairs. He worked for Jack Evans' food stores in Dallas, was a salesman for Pillsbury and later was general sales manager of Burris Mills (Light Crust Flour) until his retirement in 1983. From 1977 until 1999, L.A. and Roni owned and operated several convenience stores (Pronto Foods and Quick Country Foods) in Fort Worth and surrounding areas. The loves of his life were his children and grandchildren. Survivors: His wife, Roni; children, Steve and his wife, Margaret, Debbie and her husband, Keith Campbell, Joni and husband, Ross Hicks, Toni and husband, Patrick Reilly; grandchildren, Travis and wife, Kim, and Haley Campbell, Brittany Linsteadt, Shannon and Patrick Jr., Reilly and Kelsy Hicks; brother, Robert Linsteadt; sister, Margaret Posey; and numerous nieces and nephews.
