YORK Lois Marie Lehman, 89, entered into eternal rest to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, September 16, 2011, with her family by her side. She was the wife of the late George Franklin Lehman, Sr. Born in Lewisberry, she was the daughter of the late Rev. Irwin C. and Hattie G. (Freed) Bailey, and preceded in death by three brothers and one sister. Mrs. Lehman is survived by her daughter, Susan M. Klinedinst and husband, Gregory of York; her son, George F. Lehman, Jr. of Hellam; a sister, Miriam R. Webb of Catonsville, Md.; and several nieces and nephews. She was a lifetime member of Zion United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir and served on various committees. She was a member of the YMCA of York, and Weigelstown Card Club. She had fond memories of her residency at Providence Place of Dover. She was self employed and made custom draperies, and clothes alterations. She loved to play cards, Croquet, and various games. She loved baseball, hockey, skating, and loved to travel. A memorial service for Lois will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2011, at 2 p.m., at Zion United Methodist Church, 1030 Carlisle Avenue, York. A luncheon will be served in the church social hall following the service. Burial is private. Dr. Bradley Brown and Rev. Reda Willis will be officiating the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Zion United Methodist Church.
