ALBION: Eldon M. Aldred, 85, died Saturday morning at Lutheran Hospital. Mr. Aldred was a retired schoolteacher and farmer. His first wife, Nondes Hagler, died in 1984. Surviving are his second wife, Ida; two sons, Eldon Daniel, of Fort Wayne, and George M., of Shoals; a daughter, Phyllis Schaffer, of Carmel; a stepson, Ronald Steenerson, of Atlanta; two stepdaughters, Karen DeBruler and Ellen Smith, both of Indianapolis; a brother; seven grandchildren; and eight stepgrandchildren. Services at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Asbury United Methodist Church. Calling 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Brazzell Funeral Home, Albion, and an hour before services at the church. Lodge services at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorials to the church.
