She was born July 22, 1919, in Augusta, Ill., to Thomas and Bessie (Griffith) Osborne.
She and Gerald A. Forrester were married on Nov. 20, 1943, in Rockford, Ill. He died July 15, 1982.
She worked for the Giberson Insurance Agency and later for the Alton Mental Health Center, retiring in 1981. She was a member of Godfrey First United Methodist Church.
Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Gary D. and Patricia Forrester of Belleville and Gene A. and D. Jean Forrester of Columbia, Mo.; one grandson, Scott Forrester of Paint Rock, Texas; one stepgranddaughter, Ursula Gay of Belleville; a sister, Imogene Sommers of Princetown, Minn.; a sister-in-law, Pat Osborne of Augusta; and a close friend, Leon Dan Jones of Olivette.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers, Thomas, Forrest, Keith and Duane Osborne.
Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Gent Funeral Home in Alton, where services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, with the Rev. Don Long officiating.
Burial will follow at Pine Tree Cemetery in Patterson, Ill.
Memorials may be made to Godfrey First United Methodist Church.
