Brown, 69, of 2277 Claxton Dairy
Road, Dublin, are scheduled for 2
p.m. Friday at New Bethel Baptist
Church in Laurens County. The
Rev James Fennell, the Rev. Jack
Brown, the Rev. Eugene Allen and
the Rev James L. Brown will officiate
and burial will follow in the
church cemetery.
A lifelong resident of Laurens
County, Mr. Brown was the son of
the late I. Otis Brown and the late
Dora Lee Alford Brown. He served
in the U. S. Army during World
War II, was a member and deacon
of New Bethel Baptist Church
where he served as Church Clerk
and Treasurer for 25 years and
was a Sunday school teacher for 25
years. He was a Past Master of the
Laurens Lodge #75 F and AM. He
was retired from Carl Vinson VA
Medical Center. Mr. Brown died
on Wednesday in a Dublin hospital
Visitation will be tonight from 7
p.m until 8.30 p.m. at Townsend
Brothers Funeral Home, who has
charge of the arrangements.
