Charles W. Johnson, 85, of 107 Cutoff, died Tuesday at his home.

Mr. Johnson was retired from Duckwall Paving Co. in Marion, Ind.

He was a member of Jones Chapel Church of God of Prophecy.

He was a son of the late Thomas and Tursey Johnson.

Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law: Lorene and Sam Kierstead of Marion; his son and daughter-in-law: Kenneth and Carrie Johnson of Greeneville; four grandchildren: Billy Benbow, Gina Whitaker, Kyle Hutchson, and Karen Schwartz, all of Marion; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a grandson: Kenneth Lee Johnson; five brothers: Bill Johnson, Rich Johnson, Veno Johnson, Robert Johnson, and Roby Johnson; and five sisters: Alice Cannon, Jane Crum, Hannah Houston, Ellen Jones, and Mary Ricker.

The family will receive friends from 6-9 Thursday evening at Kiser Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held at 11 o'clock Friday morning at Kiser Funeral Chapel with interment in Red Hill Cemetery. The Rev. Neal McGill will officiate.

Active pallbearers will be Dale Johnson, Steve Schwartz, Sam Kierstead, Paul Johnson, Don Johnson, and L.A. Johnson.

Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Cox and Dr. Philip Thwing.
