Bruce Everett Majors was born April 28, 1909, at Niles, Okla., to Edward Luther and Geulah (Grimes) Majors. He passed away Friday, Dec. 10, 2004, at Red Rock Manor Nursing Home in Hinton, Okla., at the age of 95.

Bruce was a longtime farmer in the Niles and Hinton community, where he was born and raised and lived most of his life, except for a time in Colorado and the Raton area from 1976 until 1993. He was united in marriage to Dottie Wise on Dec. 10, 1927, at El Reno, Okla. She preceded him in death on Dec. 27, 2003, at Hinton, Okla. Bruce was a member of the Niles Community Church and attended the First Christian Church in Hinton, Okla.

Survivors include one son, W.L. Majors and wife Charlotte of Hinton, Okla.; one daughter, Dorothy McBee and husband Charles of Hinton; seven grandchildren, Charles Bruce and Dwight Majors of Hinton, Ann Majors of Spring, Texas, Lyndon Majors, Nancy Warren, Amy Findley and James McBee, all of Hinton; four great grandchildren, Andrew and Aaron Majors of Hinton, Chelse and Micalah Findley of Hinton; one sister, Elsie Campbel of Hinton and a host of other family and friends.

Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, Ed and Geulah Majors; one son, Marvin Majors; two daughters, Margaret Brooks and Lucille Majors; four grandchildren, Clifford Brooks, Vickie McBee, Jackie Self and Eric Majors; and one great grandson, Brandon Self, and one sister, Edrie Lambert.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 14, at the First Christian Church in Hinton, Okla., with Mr. Duane Cowan and Mr. DeWayne Wright officiating. Burial will be at the Niles Cemetery in Hinton under the direction of the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home.
