Lorraine R. Keppy, 61, Durant, died Saturday, July 26, 2003, at Good Samaritan Nursing Home, Davenport, Iowa.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 29, at Bentley Funeral Home, Durant. The Rev. Brian Shepley will officiate. Musical selections will be provided by organist Mabyn Fox and vocalist Henry Bentley. Pallbearers are Allen Kraft, Richard Wulf, Jack VanDeusen Sr., Keith Kappeler, Eugene Wuestenberg and Ken Rochholz. Burial will be in the Durant Cemetery, Durant, Iowa.
Visitation is 4:00 8:00 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Durant Ambulance, Durant Garden Club or a favorite charity.
Lorraine Ruby Kraft was born December 19, 1941, in Davenport, Iowa, the daughter of Raleigh and Ruby (Martens) Kraft. She married Ralph Arlen Keppy November 26, 1960, in Davenport. She farmed with her husband for 42 years in Scott County. She was a member of the Durant Garden Club, the Scott County Homemakers, the Thursday Bowling League and the local Crochet Club. She was active in the Scott County Pork Producers and the Durant Polka Fest Committee. She was an avid Iowa Hawkeye fan and enjoyed attending her grandchildren's sporting events and school activities.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Loren (Jeantee) Keppy of Durant and Myron (Lori) Keppy of Port Byron, IL; two granddaughters, Kaylee Keppy and Kara Keppy; three grandsons, Jake Keppy, Collin Keppy, and Mitchell Keppy; two sisters, Darlene (Loren) Steines of Alpha, IL, and Patti Kappeler of Stockton.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
