Funeral services for Sam Edward Burgamy, 52, of Milledgeville, were held on May 2 at 2 p.m.from the chapel of Martin Funeral Home. Rev. John W. Layfield officiated and burial was in Pine Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery, near Warthen.

Mr. Burgamy was a native of Washington County but had made his home in Baldwin County most of his life. He was retired from the U.S. Air Force and was a member of Scottsboro Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Betty Burgamy of Milledgeville; four daughters, Mrs. Brenda Webster and Donna Evans both of Milledgeville, and Mrs. Linda Jurva and Mrs. Sandy Baumgardner, both of South Range, Michigan; two stepsons, Earl Evans and Robert Evans, both of Dublin; his mother, Mrs. Agnes Kelly of Milledgeville; one sister, Mrs. Jean Callahan of Griffin; and nine grandchildren.
