There seems to be a metal DAR marker by her grave. Her name also arises in Ruth Wade Cox Brunings 1999 paper, Slavery in Kentucky, where Ruth writes that she (Lucy) was a descendant of James Gaines, brother of John and Archibald. Ruth also writes there that Lucy married a man named Benjamin Franklin Bedinger, "my grandmother's double first cousin" and a namesake of Ruth's 2nd great grandfather. I have linked her to the man of this name, of the same generation, also due to the geographic proximity of the two stones of the same type.
