DEATH OF E.L. WATSON

Mr. E.L. Watson, the well known traveling man of this place, died suddenly at Monroe last Saturday night and his remains were interred in the Homer Cemetery Monday afternoon.

Mr. Watson was fifty years old, and apparently in good health when he left his home a few days prior to his death. In fact he had talked with his wife in Homer over the phone a short while before his death and she was shocked a short wile after this to learn of his death from heart disease.

Mr. Watson was born and raised in the Tulip community near Athens and came from a prominent family. His father, the late Tom Watson was one of the foremost citizens of his time.

The deceased had many friends, and was strongly attached to his wife and four children who survive. He was an active businessman and had prospered during the last few years.

A kind hearted man, of a generous nature, who enjoyed life has gone to his reward.

The family have our sympathy in this hour of their great bereavement.
