RED OAK - Mrs Florence Rogers, a resident of Red Oak and formerly a resident of Waxahachie for 20 years, died in Chester Clinic in Dallas Sunday morning.
Born Dec 31 1888 in Pontitock, Miss, Mrs Rodgers was preceded in death by her husband in Waxhachie in 1949.
Funeral services were held at 2 pm today in Boze-Mitchell Funeral Chapel with the Rev Marshall Southerland officiating. Burial followed in Waxahachie City Cemetery.
Survivors are a son, Vernon Rodgers of Waxahachie; two daughters, Mrs Christine Skipper of Red Oak and Mrs Louise Archauleta of Dallas; a brother, Johnny Brown of Ada, Okla and a sister, Mrs Mattie Marshall of El Paso.
