Glen Bordelon, age 59, of Alexandria passed away Friday November 23, 2012 at his residence.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Lunette Bordelon of DeRidder, and one brother, Gary Bordelon of Baton Rouge, his grandparents, Joe and Maudie Martin of DeRidder, and E.C. and Corrine Coco of Bordelonville.
Glen graduated from DeRidder High School and attended Louisiana State University. He recently retired from National Beverage Company as regional manager for the states of Louisiana, Arkansas, Mississippi, and Texas. Everywhere he lived, Baton Rouge, Lake Charles, and Alexandria, he always had a group of golfing buddies. He was a loving husband, father, brother, brother-in – law, uncle and friend.
He is survived by his wife, Susan Hector Bordelon; his daughter and son-in-law Alison and Whitney Saunders of Baton Rouge; sisters Janice Leonard of DeRidder and Gladys Fraim of Lake Charles; brothers Ronald Bordelon of DeRidder and Freddie and his wife Bonnie of Baton Rouge; his mother-in-law, Leanna Hector of Lafayette, his sister-in-law Therese Doucet and husband Daniel of Grand Coteau; brothers- in – law Tom Hector and wife Susie of Lafayette, Philip Hector and wife Shelia of Youngsville, and Jimmy Hector of Port Allen. He is also survived by a very special niece, Jenny Doucet of Grand Coteau, as well as a host of nieces of nephews.
Pallbearers will be friends from DeRidder and golfing buddies: Ricky Rowlett, Kenneth Mansell, Johnny Bubenik, Danny Dugas, Steve Kleinpeter, and a nephew, Jimmy Bordelon.
Recitation of the holy rosary will be at 5 p.m. Sunday November 25, 2012 in the chapel of John Kramer & Son, visitation will follow until 7 p.m. and from 10 a.m. until time of service Monday at St. Rita Catholic Church.
