Wilma A. Hegstrom
(January 15, 1922 - December 1, 2007)

OGDEN – Wilma Aaron Hegstrom, 85, died Saturday, December 1, 2007 at a local care center of causes incident to age.

She was born January 15, 1922, a daughter of Lucius Patrick and Willie Carpenter Aaron.

On August 30, 1947, Wilma married William Jess Hegstrom, Sr., in Elko, Nevada. He preceded her in death on December 25, 2003.

She lived in both the Salt Lake and Ogden areas.

Wilma was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

She worked as an aircraft technician for Hill Air Force Base and worked in Hawaii at Pearl Harbor shortly after the attack. She was also a member of the National Association of Realtors.

Wilma enjoyed helping others and particularly shut-ins. She also helped stray animals and was a dog lover.

Surviving are her son, William "Bill" J. Hegstrom, Jr., Dominic Benstog, and four grandsons, William "Will" J. Hegstrom, III, Ryan Hegstrom, Preston Casey and Adam Jellema.

Wilma was preceded in death by her parents, husband, six brothers and three sisters.

The family expresses special thanks to Wilma's Angels, Lola, Wendy, Becky, Carol, Jody and Crestwood Care Center.

Graveside services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Lindquist's Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd., with Bishop Jim Harvey officiating.
