Born to Daniel Boone Cutbirth Sr (1762-1838) and Elizabeth "Betsy" Coleman (1763-1847), Benjamin died in Hempstead County, Territory of Arkansas.

Ben served as a PVT, 1st Regiment (LAIGHT'S), NY Militia, War of 1812.

He gave his wife, Sarah McCann, five children:
• William
• Elijah
• Elizabeth
• Daniel
• Willis

Ben has been found as Benjamin Cutbirth Jr in family records and Bibles. We believe this is because his family attempted to differentiate him from his grandfather, Big Ben Cutbirth, whom he would have known personally. The term "Junior" would be akin to labeling family relatives "Big" and "Little" to help tell namesakes apart. We have chosen to honor that family legacy by recording him as Jr on this page.

Benjamin was a beloved husband and father. We are grateful for the children he gave our family tree.
