Elsie was born in Broughton Township, the daughter of Carl and Elizabeth "Lillie" Ehrhardt Herb. She married Gerald McKinley Earing on Feb. 14, 1923 at the Methodist Parsonage in Saunemin. He died Dec. 11, 1960.
Surviving: daughter and son-in-law Rita & Derral Godbee on Kempton, 12 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren, three daughters-in-law - Lois Earing of Pontiac, Margaret Earing of Kempton and Donna Jean Earing of Dwight and two sisters Edna Gill of Streator and Vera Weems of New Lenox.
She was preceded in death by three sons, Gerald Lloyd, Eugene and Frank, a grandchild, two great grandchildren, two brothers and one sister.
