Albert H. Alms, 95, passed away at 11:05 a.m. Thursday, July 10, 2008, in Three Springs Lodge in Chester.
Albert was born May 27, 1913, in Campbell Hill, the son of Martin Alms and Louise (Willa) Alms.
Albert was a retired painter. He served in the Army during World War II. He was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Campbell and Campbell Hill American Legion Post 1096.
Albert is survived by two nephews, Delbert Alms of Texas and Everett Alms of Ava.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Fred, Herman and Raymond.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today in St. Peter Lutheran Church in Campbell Hill, with the Rev. Gregory J. Schultz officiating. Burial will be in St. Peter Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. today at the church. Memorials may be made to St. Peter's general fund. Wilson's Funeral Home in Ava is in charge of the arrangements.
