Mrs. Mary Melinda Cleveland, 90, died Friday at 6:35 p.m. at the home of her daughter, Mrs. G.R. Thompson. She was the oldest member of the local Baptist church.
Funeral services were held Saturday at 4 p.m. at the Kerlin Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Eugene Skelton, officiating. Interment was in the Arlington cemetery.
Mrs. Cleveland was born in Mississippi on March 5, 1864.
Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. G.R. Thompson of Homer, and Mrs. Rosa C. Brinson, Savannah Beach, Georgia; three sons, George Cleveland, Hahnville, Ben Cleveland, Pecos, Texas, Charles Cleveland, Belle Chasse; one sister, Mrs. Jane Baker, Fort Worth, Texas.
