Harriet E. Isham's parents were Alfred Isham and Clarissa Loomis. She was raised in New York and married Morgan Lewis Candee. They had two children, but both died before adulthood.

The relatives and friends of the family are respectuflly invited to attend her funeral from her late residence, No 114 Lexington Ave. on Thurday 22d, at 1 o'clock p. m., without further invitation."
