"I find from a family record of the Daves Family that Elizabeth McKinsey Collins, daughter of John Pugh & June Reid Daves, was born on the 5th day of May, 1827, and baptised by the Rev. Richard S. Mason, Rector of Christ Church. (Charles Stuart Hale, Rector of Christ Church, 1880.)"

NOTE: These records were transcribed by Miss Gertrude Sprague Carraway of New Bern, NC for the Richard Dobbs Spaight Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. They were submitted for the Annual DAR Reports, Book SIV - 114. Miss Carraway was elected President General, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution in 1953. Miss Carraway was the editor of the New Bern Sun Journal and the driving force behind the Restoration of Tryon Palace during the 1950's.

Married at Trinity Church, New York, on August 6,1850, Wm. W. Roberts of New Bern, an officer of the US Navy.
