Ogden - Annette "Annie" Graham Harris, 83, died Tuesday, November 20, 2012 in Ogden, Utah. She was born in Ogden on September 21, 1929 to Orville and Olga (Smith) Graham of Eden, Utah. Annie was the eldest of six children--Wayne, Rena, Lee, Nelda, and Norene--who grew up on the Graham dairy farm in Eden. She attended Weber County schools and graduated from Weber High in 1947 and in 1949 from Weber Junior College with an associate's degree. She married Eldon Oscar Harris (USN AO3) of Huntsville, Utah in 1951. They made their home on Iowa Avenue in Ogden. Eldon died in 1973. Nonetheless, Annie managed to raise four children--Leslie, Daniel, Cindy, and Steven. She loved to read and instilled that love in her children--"Sound it out!" Eldon and Annie loved bowling. For many years Annie managed the Golden Spike tournament in Ogden. She really enjoyed seeing all the teams from around the Intermountain West come to the tournament each year. She was inducted into the Ogden Bowling Hall of Fame in 2004. Annie also worked at Rainbow Lanes and then Rainbow Gardens for many years. Many children who came to Rainbow asked about seeing "Grandma Annie." She enjoyed listening to jazz and traveled in recent years with her friend Karma Smith to jazz festivals throughout the West.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eldon, sister Norene, parents, Olga and Orville. She is survived by her children, Leslie Teplick (Stanley) of Lake Oswego, OR, Dan Harris of Eden, UT, Cindy Ford (Tim) of Hyde Park, UT, Steven Harris (Colleen Wiseman) of Albuquerque, NM; granddaughters Chloe Teplick and Iris Ford; siblings Wayne Graham (Lillian) of Livermore, CA, Rena Stallings (Mack) of Eden, UT, Lee Graham (Mary Ellen) of Washington, UT, Nelda Price (Lee) of North Ogden, UT and many nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will take place at 11 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 26 at the Mountain View Cemetery in Eden. A viewing will be held on Sunday, Nov. 25, 2012 from 6-8 p.m. at the Ogden Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd. The family would like to thank the caregivers at Wasatch Care and Hearts for Hospice for their love and support.

In lieu of flowers, donations are encouraged to the Ogden School Foundation, Weber State University, or the Ogden Valley Library (Weber County Library).
