On Tuesday morning, January 6th, Miss Pearl A. Burgett, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Burgett, and John H. Hoy, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Hoy, were united in marriage at the home of the bride by their pastor, Rev. Ralph L. Wagner.

The bride was attractively attired in blue silk. After the ceremony a bountiful wedding dinner was served and in the evening the young couple started on a motor tour.

Only the immediate families of the bride and groom were present, including the pastor's family. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. Charles Burgett, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Burgett, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Wert, Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Hoy, Frank Hoy, Mrs. L M. Shumaker, Rev .and Mrs. Ralph L Wagner and baby Margaret Wagner and Miss Marie Wert.

Mrs. John H. Hoy

Mrs. Pearl A. Hoy, 70, wife of John H. Hoy, RD2 North Middleton Township, died Wednesday night at her home.

Mrs. Hoy was born March 14, 1901 in Middlesex Township, a daughter of the late Charles and Ida Wolf Burgett. She was a member of St. Matthias Lutheran Church, Carlisle Springs, and the Adult Class of the Sunday School. Mr. and Mrs. Hoy have been the owners and operators of Hoy's Greenhouse for many years.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, Charles F. Hoy, RD2; one brother, Clarence Burgett, RD3; two grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.

The funeral service will be held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. in the G. Book Roth Funeral Home, Walnut Bottom Road at Belvedere Street. Burial will be in Westminster Cemetery. Freinds (sic) may call Sunday from 1:30 to 2:30 at the funeral home.
