Betty Josephine (Johnson) Starks was born December 28, 1924 and died November 15, 2012.
Betty was born in Jenny Lind, Arkansas, and moved to Minco as a young child. As a young woman she worked in WWII to help support the war effort.
She married Johnnie Levi Starks and moved to California and seven years later moved to Twin Falls, Idaho.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Janie Johnson; husband Johnnie Starks; granddaughter Shari Bice; brothers Clyde Johnson, Allen Johnson, Virgil Johnson, ELwood Johnson and Randall Johnson; sisters Alice(Johnson) Mitchum, Opal Ingram, and Beulah McCartney.
She is survived by her daughters Shirley and husband Jerry Bice of Eagletown, Oklahoma; Lodesta Bahm of Ness, California and Patricia and Jerry Shields of Twin falls, Idaho; grandchildren John Shields, Jimmie Shields, Jackie Shields, Jeffery Shields, Susie Osterdock, Shawn Osterdock and Jana Bice; ten great grandchildren and 15 great great grandchildren.
Services will be at the First Baptist Church, Minco on Saturday, November 24 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery.
