I was so sorry to hear that my beautiful cousin, Helen, passed away last night, May 5, 2017. The sad news came from her son, George. She was so proud that God had permitted her to live a long life, knowing that He had done this for for some reason. Everyone who knew Helen loved and respected her. She was kind and loving. Her sons, Larry and George, were a very important part of her life.

I learned about Helen from another cousin many years ago while researching my Dodson family. Helen was the daughter of Alfred and Cora (Dodson) Sinor. Cora was the sister of my grandfather, Jim Dodson. From Helen I learned some wonderful stories and history about our family, that I never would have known otherwise. She had an undying love for her Dodson grandparents, George and Cynthia. Now she is with them, her husband, and her parents, celebrating her homecoming. Joining in this reunion is her brother, Alfred, Jr. and her sister, Artie Lee. One sister, Bettie Lou Jansen is still living.

I will truly miss Helen and will always remember her visit to MO to visit me and then our most "memorable" trip back to her home in TX.
