Rose Mary Hodges, age 53, passed away, Saturday October 16, 2010, at her home of Piedmont, OK, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born March 2nd, 1957 in Okarche, OK to Henry J. and Agnes E. (Lagaly) Meiwes of Piedmont, OK. Rose married Mickey Hodges, on April 4th, 2001. They made their home in Piedmont, OK. Rose graduated from Piedmont High School in 1975. She helped with the family dairy and farmed for over 25 years. She received "Farmer of the Year" award. She also enjoyed gardening and flowers. Rose was a member of the Catholic Daughters of Holy Trinity Church of Okarche, OK. Rose was employed by Wal Mart for the last 10 years, where she made many friends. Rose is survived by her husband, Mickey Hodges, of the home, brothers Charles Meiwes and wife Carol of Edna, KS, John Meiwes and wife Jeannie of Minco, OK, David Meiwes and wife Darlene of Okarche, OK, Gerald Meiwes, Piedmont, OK, and Andrew Meiwes and wife Teresa of Piedmont, OK; and sister Theresa Meiwes of Piedmont, OK. Rose is also survived by many nieces, nephews and great nieces & nephews, which she loved dearly. Rose was preceded in death by her parents, Henry & Agnes Meiwes, and two brothers Stephen J. & Harold G. Meiwes. Rose is deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Piedmont Service Center. A Rosary at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM will be held on Friday Oct 22 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Okarche.
