Obituary

ATTAWAY, Sandra Jean, age 74, passed away November 18, 2012 after a brief illness. There is no doubt God received another angel today. Sandra was born on April 10, 1938 to Charles Floyd and Adele (Woolf) Attaway, who preceded her in death. She is survived by one sister and brother-in-law, Fran & Dick Bidwell of Providence, RI, two nephews, Russ Gifford, RI and Kendall (Elizabeth) Gifford, VT as well as many loving friends in Montgomery, AL, whom she considered as her extended family. Sandra loved to sing and loved ballroom dancing and told everyone everywhere she went about the Dancin' Ballroom Dance Studio and things she was doing there. She made many friends through her dancing and loved every minute of it. She always looked forward to her annual "girls only" beach trip with her dancing sisters; her outings with her friend Susie Rollins; as well as Christmas get-togethers with Nanette's family. Sandra was a faithful member of Trinity Presbyterian Church for 60 years and loved her Lord and Savior. She was also an active member of The Lonicera Garden Club. The funeral will be 12:30 PM, November 21, 2012 at Leak-Memory Chapel with Patrick Curles officiating; burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 30 minutes prior to the services. Pallbearers will be Ray Farris, Johnny Stinson, Kong Phannavong, John Mikulaa, Chase Hall and Tellis McMillan.
