Leslie B. Johnson, 67, died at memorial Hospital on July 17.
Mr. Johnson was born on Nov. 27, 1903, in Tie Siding, Wyo., to Wesley and Lora Brown Johnson. The retired oilfield pumper had been a resident of the community for 67 years.
Survivors include three sons, Leslie B. Johnson of Reno, Nev., James R. Morrison of San Diego and Jack N. Johnson of Thermopolis; six brothers, Alva, Earl, and Bill of Thermopolis and Lyman, Melvin and Ernie of Oregon; two sisters, Mrs. Delpha Weggam and Mrs. Hazel Prodfit of Oregon; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Funeral services were held at the Mortimore Chapel on July 20, at 10:30 a.m. Rev. William Corlett of the Cody Methodist Church officiated. Masonic services by the Meeteetse Lodge were held at the grave. Interment was in Riverside Cemetery.
Buster Hayes, accompanied by Virginia Mortimore, sang "Rock of Ages" and "Beyond the Sunset." Pallbearers were Glade Edwards, Paul Eisner, Louis Einer, Bud Jones, Lon Melton and Lourie Hayes.
