CONLEY, Kathryn E. Benteen

Funeral services were held on Sunday afternoon at the
Greenup Methodist Church for Mrs. Kathryn Elizabeth Conley,
age 37, the wife of Dr. Charles Conley, a Greenup County osteopath.
Mrs. Conley died on Friday night of a heart attack while driving her automobile.
The car went over a 100-foot embankment one mile north of Greenup at 9:15 p.m.
It was first believed that she was an accident victim, but the autopsy report
revealed that Mrs. Conley was a victim of a heart attack.
She was the daughter-in-law of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Conley, of Staffordsville.
Dr. Conley, a passenger in the car, was not hurt according to a Greenup
Coroner Milton Evans Jr.
Mrs. Conley was born in Rantoul, Ill., on September 10, 1927.
She was a daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Harold D. Benteen, of Ashland.
She moved to Greenup from Columbus, Ohio, in 1954.
She was a member of the Greenup Women's Club and
Electa Chapter No. 3, Order of the Eastern Star.
Besides her husband and her parents, she is survived by a son, Charles Leo,
and a daughter, Cathy Conley, both at home; a sister, Cynthia Raye Benteen;
and one brother, William R. Sargent, of Ashland.
Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. John Dutill of the Greenup Methodist Church.
Burial was in the Bellefonte Memorial Gardens at Flatwoods.
