Minnie E. King Collins, 75, died at 8:48 AM Sunday [Aug. 12, 1983] in Lafayette Home Hospital, where she had been a patient since July 14. Born and reared at Tazewell, TN, she came to Lafayette in 1945. In 1940, she was married at Cumberland Gap, TN, to William L. Collins, who survives.
Mrs. Collins was formerly employed at the soda fountain at the old Goodnight's Drug Store, Ninth and Union streets. She was a member of Elston Heights Baptist Church.
Surviving with the husband are a son, Bill K. Collins of Lafayette; one sister, Mrs. Margaret Galloway of Jackson, TN; and two grandchildren.
