Funeral services were held on Friday, June 9, 1995, at the Evangelical United Methodist Church, Waterville, for Arvel Buss, 75, who died on Tuesday, June 6, 1995, at Immanuel-St. Joseph's Hospital, Mankato.
Rev. Mark Schneider, conducted the services and burial was in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Elysian.
Pallbearers were Gayle Callahan, Joel Groskreutz, Niel Rinehart, John Roney, David Schroeder, and Daniel Steele.
Mr. Buss was born on December 24, 1919, in Elysian Township, to Arthur and Romania (Eissler) Buss. He was a medical technician in World War II, serving in Japan. He was a member of Waterville VFW Post 2633.
During his lifetime, Mr. Buss was a farmer.
On December 6, 1964, he was married to Adeline Groskreutz, at Wells, MN.
Besides his wife, he is survived by children: David Buss at home, and Tamara and David Vendt of Mitchell, South Dakota. Also surviving is a sister, Alice Flowers, of Stillwater, MN.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters; and two brothers.
Prosch Funeral Home of Waterville was in charge of arrangements.
