GLADEWATER - Bobby Wayne Hood, 67, of Gladewater, was called home to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 12, 2012. He was born June 29, 1945, to Ruth and Freeman Hood.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Frances; brother, Jimmy; and daughter, Tonya.
He is survived by his wife, Marie Slauson; and children, Lisa and Brian Davis, Dawn and James Hayes, Sissy Criss, Shawn Hammett, Destiny Kimbrell, Wayne Plachey, Stephen Shirey and Anthony and Heather Gabaldon. In addition to his children and spouses, he was surrounded by 15 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Bobby lived life to the fullest and touched many lives along the way.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 18, 2012, at New Hope Baptist Church, 12496 Shamrock Rd., Diana, TX.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to The American Liver Foundation, www.liverfoundation.org/howtohelp.
Cremation services were provided by Welch Funeral Home in Longview.
