Jorgen Borreson was the first of his family to come to America when he was only 17 years of age. He was the oldest child of Borre and Annie Larsen.

His brother, Lars Borreson Hoel, stayed in Norway until 1922 (until he wife died), then he joined his children in Wyoming.

His sister, Agnette Borreson married Maurice Sorley and they raised thier family near Cranfills Gap, Tx.

His sister, Berthe, died soon after arriving in Texas.

His younger brother, Andreas, also died soon after arriving in Texas.

His sister, Olena Borreson married Konstantine Blumberg. They lived in Mexico for a few years where Konstantine built Railroads. Then Olena and her children lived in Clifton, TX.

His sister, Petronille "Nellie" Borreson married George Dunstadter. They lived in Dallas, TX.

His younger sister, Julia, died in Norway.

He married Julia Pederson 08 Dec 1881, in McLennan County, TX and they setttled in Bosque County. First on Neils Creek and then to the Spring Creek Community.

Jorgen and Julia Burreson had eight children: Andrew Burreson married Mary Ellen Hunt, Betty Burreson married Albert Giese, Sr., Alma Burreson married (1) Conrad Rystad (2) Leonard Hunter, Bergite Burreson married Albert Pederson, Palmer Burreson married Mabel Burroughs, Helen Burreson married Theodore Peterson, Jorgen Julian Burreson married Sadie Shinkle, and Otto Burreson married (1) Minnie Dilbeck (2) Thelma Cole Trammell.
