Born in Blackville, SC he was a son of the late James Henry Lott, Sr. and Elizabeth Weimortz Lott. He retired from the Savannah River Site, was a member of the Blackville First Baptist Church, the Sara's Sunday School Class and served as a deacon. He served in the National Guard and was a former member of the Blackville Rescue Squad. He loved hunting, fishing, and shrimping. Jack was a loving husband, father and he really enjoyed and loved his two grandsons.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Joyce Blume Lott; daughters, Dana Elaine Lott of Barnwell, Kelly (Douglas) Lott Mahan of Irmo; grandsons, Tyler and Payton Mahan. He was preceded in death by a sister, Peggy Lott Williams and a brother, James "Jimmy" Henry Lott, Jr.
