Funeral services for John "Jack" Weimortz Lott, 78, of Blackville, SC will be held three p.m., Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at the Blackville First Baptist Church with Rev. Ken Frederick and Dr. Thomas Terry officiating. Burial will be in the Barnwell Memorial Cemetery by the airport. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 1:30 p.m. until the time of the service at the church. Memorials may be sent to Blackville First Baptist Church, P.O. Born in Blackville, SC he was a son of the late James Henry Lott, Sr. and Elizabeth Weimortz Lott. He retired from the Savannah River Site, was a member of the Blackville First Baptist Church, the Sara's Sunday School Class and served as a deacon. He served in the National Guard and was a former member of the Blackville Rescue Squad. He loved hunting, fishing, and shrimping. Jack was a loving husband, father and he really enjoyed and loved his two grandsons.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Joyce Blume Lott; daughters, Dana Elaine Lott of Barnwell, Kelly (Douglas) Lott Mahan of Irmo; grandsons, Tyler and Payton Mahan. He was preceded in death by a sister, Peggy Lott Williams and a brother, James "Jimmy" Henry Lott, Jr.
