Mrs J L Crow Dies
Deborah Emeline Crow, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Sanders, was born October 15, 1867 near Scottsboro, Alabama. Early in life she professed faith in Christ and became a member of the Baptist Church.
At the age of 21 she was married to J L Crow at her home in Alabama.
Fifty years ago the family moved to Oklahoma near Eufaula, after about three years they moved to Bowie, Texas.
In 1910 they moved to Hollis, Oklahoma, where they lived until 1920 when they came to Wellston.
She departed this life Saturday morning at the age of 86 leaving her husband, J L Crow, and three sons, Jasper of the home, Lee, Wellston, and Alvin, Oklahoma City; four daughters, Mrs. Robert Browder, Turkey, Texas, Mrs. A M Flowers, Wellston, Mrs. Tom Ary and Mrs L A Howard, Oklahoma City; twenty-eight grand children; thirty-five great grand children; and two brothers, John Sanders of Wagoner and Charlie Sanders of Alabama.
Funeral services were held in the Wellston Baptist Church Monday with Rev. C L Mills bringing the message and burial was in the Wellston Cemetery. Mills Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
